Noida Administration Directs Supertech Group to Clear RERA RC’s in 10 Days

May 2023: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has issued recovery certificates (RC) that are owed to the Supertech group, and Noida Authority has ordered them to be paid. The organization was requested by the Noida administration to adhere to the 10-day deadline and pay the fees. Supertech has received 52 RCs from UP RERA for a project off the Yamuna Expressway. These RCs total somewhere about Rs 26 crores. R K Arora, the chairman of Supertech, has agreed to pay the debts. The District Magistrate stated that the authority’s goal is to recoup payments, and similar measures will be implemented against further defaulters.Recently, Supertech Group passed a Rs 5 crore RC and pledged to pay Rs 2 crore as well as reach a Rs 5 crore settlement. There are roughly 101 developers who have not yet paid back the 1705 RCs that UP RERA gave.

UP RERA to Freeze Accounts of 18 Promoters 

March 2023: UP RERA recently released a list of 18 promoters who missed their hearings. UP RERA will be freezing their accounts and will be blacklisting them. During the meeting for incomplete projects, the officials indicated that there are several projects that are pending completion based on their scheduled dates. The promoters of these projects have filed for an extension of these projects or have requested occupancy certificates. Among the 18 promoters, two are from Kanpur, three are from Mathura, four are from Lucknow, 4 from Varanasi, 3 from Firozabad, 3 from Prayagraj, and two are from Kanpur. UP RERA has the right to stop or restrict the sale and purchase of units in projects of developers who are not complying. UP RERA can also blacklist these developers and restrict them from registering new projects in future. Multiple summons were sent to these promoters, yet they stayed away from back-to-back hearings. Due to this, the UP RERA authority is forced to take strict action against these promoters.
